ROHNERT PARK - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team led near wire-to-wire to prevail over Sonoma State by a final score of 61-50 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Thursday at The Wolves' Den. The Toros increase their winning streak and improve to 10-9 overall, 6-7 in conference play. The Seawolves drop to 7-10 overall and 5-9 in the CCAA.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- The Seawolves got the first basket of the game, but
Nautica Morrow responded with a 3-pointer for a 3-2 Toro advantage. CSUDH would not relinquish the lead the rest of the way.
- The Toros were up 14-6 at the end of the opening 10 minutes with
Ahlisha Henderson and
Alzena Henry leading the way with four points each.
- CSUDH grabbed its biggest advantage up to that point with six minutes left in the second quarter, 24-14, on a
Zhane Carter free throw before Sonoma State went on a run and made it a four-point game at halftime 26-22.
- The Toros kept their foot on the pedal in the second half. A Lea Andereson 3-pointer gave CSUDH its largest margin, 47-35, with 7:13 remaining. The Seawolves got as close as 3 points, 52-49, but Morrow delivered with a trey and a layup in consecutive possessions to preserve the win.

- The Toros led for 38 minutes and 28 seconds of the 40-minute contest.
- CSUDH won the rebounding war 38-33, including 15-7 on the offensive glass.
Paradise Hanchett led the way with six offensive rebounds.
- The CSUDH defense held the Seawolves to 50 points, the second-lowest total for an opponent of the Toros. The best defensive performance for CSUDH came at Cal State Monterey Bay, holding the Otters to 48 points.
