Toros Snap Skid with OT Win Over Coyotes

CARSON - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team ended a five-game losing skid with a 64-60 overtime win over Cal State San Bernardino in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Saturday at the Torodome. The Toros improve to 8-9 overall and 4-7 in conference play. The Coyotes drop to 7-9 overall and 6-6 in the CCAA. It was the only regular season meeting between the two conference foes.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- The Toros started strong and took a 13-6 advantage after the first 10 minutes.
- The Coyotes responded in the second quarter as CSUDH trailed 24-23 at halftime, with Tylore Bell and Ahlisha Henderson combining for 14 points. 
- The Toros separated in the third quarter and took a 44-33 advantage into the final period. 
- CSUDH grabbed its biggest lead with 8:20 left, 48-35, on two Henderson free throws. From there, CSUSB went on a 16-6 run to even the score at 54-54 to force overtime.
- The Toros outscored the Coyotes 10-6 in the extra five-minute period to ultimately prevail by four points. Williams scored six of the 10 points in crunch time.

TORO NOTES
- Henderson recorded her second straight double-double and now has five on the season. 
- Williams grabbed her third double-double of the season.
