CARSON - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team defeated Cal State LA by a final score of 80-63 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Saturday at the Torodome. It was the annual Homecoming game for CSUDH, which drew a crowd of 389.
The Toros have now won their last two contests and improve to 8-8 overall, 5-7 in conference play.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- CSUDH started strong and grabbed a 10-4 lead on
Paradise Hanchett's jumper, midway through the opening quarter. CSULA responded and closed the margin to one point, 16-15, at the end of 10 minutes.
- Down 29-25, the Toros closed the second period on an 11-3 run to take a 36-31 at halftime. Ahisha Henderson led the Toros at the intermission with eight points.
- CSUDH took a 15-point lead, 51-36, in the middle of the third quarter before the Golden Eagles closed it to nine at the end of the period.
- The Toros kept their foot on the pedal in the fourth quarter, extended the lead to 22 points and ultimately prevailed by 17.
TORO NOTES
- The Toros outrebounded Cal State LA 59-28, by far the largest rebounding margin of the season.
- The 32 offensive rebounds matched CSUDH's season-high.
