HAYWARD – Starting the season with nine contests on the road may have taken a toll for the Cal State Dominguez Hills volleyball team, as the Toros ended the trek with a four-set loss (17-25, 22-25, 25-19, 24-26) to Cal State East Bay Saturday.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- After clinching the third game, 25-19, the Toros managed to tie the fourth round at 24 points apiece but back-to-back kills by Deja Thompson sealed the win for the Pioneers.
- It was an evenly match-up on paper, with the Pioneers edging the Toros in kills (55-54) and digs (76-72). The only distant advantage East Bay had was in the attack percentile. The Pioneers combined to hit .237 while the Toros hit .192.

Rylee Brown led the effort in Dominguez Hills' game-three win, posting four kills, four digs, two assists and one block assist.
Tati Yandall was another big contributor with five kills and four assists.

Tati Yandall racked up 11 of the Toros 19 kills in the fourth game along with hitting nearly 48 percent.
