CARSON – Backed by a roaring support of their fellow student-athletes, spirit teams and fans, the Cal State Dominguez Hills volleyball team found themselves back into their winning ways with a three-set (25-19, 25-21, 25-14) win over the NAIA's San Diego Christian to open the home side of their schedule Wednesday night.

Tati Yandall – 11 kills, 5 digs, 3 assists

WHAT HAPPENED?
- Dominguez Hills bolstered a near season-high .348 on the attack, including a .417 in the second game.
- The Hawks had kept pace with the Toros in the second game, even having taken in the lead on four occasions. Tied at 21 points apiece, The Toros got kills from
Kenadi Mitchell,
Tati Yandall and
Esther Duru and an attacking error to take the second round 25-21.
- Although San Diego Christian got the first point to start the third game, the Toros would take a 9-2 lead from six Hawk mistakes and three kills to set the tone of the set.
POST-MATCH NOTES
- The Toros have won their second home opener in three years.
