Yandall Tallies 11 Kills, Digs in Toros Defeat to Golden Eagles

CARSON – The Cal State Dominguez Hills volleyball team came close on two occasions to clinch a set win against crosstown rivals Cal State LA, but the 22nd-ranked Golden Eagles snuck away in the second and third games to beat the Toros in three (17-25, 29-31, 22-25) at the Torodome Saturday.

The Toros drop to 5-6 overall, 0-3 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

- Trailing 22-17 in the third set, CSUDH eventually made sideout and took advantage on an attacking error, a service ace by Jordan Ramirez and a block by Cecelia Lucas and Taylor Benitez-Fanslow to make it a one-point deficit.
- The Toros saw 126 attack attempts come at them, making 48 stops while seeing the Golden Eagles miss their target 18 times.
