HAYWARD - Cal State Dominguez Hills fell to Cal State East Bay in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) women's basketball action by a final score of 62-51, Saturday at Pioneer Gymnasium.
 
The Toros and Pioneers flip-flop in the conference standings. CSUDH drops to 11-13 overall and 9-10 in conference play. CSUEB improves to 14-12 overall and 10-10 in the CCAA.
 
The Toros were led by 
Nautica Morrow's 15 points. 
Desiree Harding and 
Taylor Farris each contributed 12 points each.
 
CSUEB hit two consecutive 3-pointers to begin the game for an early 6-0 advantage. Trailing 18-13 with two minutes remaining in the opening quarter, CSUDH went on an 11-2 run, ignited by a Morrow jumper, that went all the way to the four-minute mark of the second period for a 24-20 advantage. The Toros led 26-24 at halftime.
 
The third quarter was dominated by the Pioneers as they outscored CSUDH 16-7 in the stanza for a 42-35 score. CSUEB kept putting away baskets and grabbed its biggest lead of the game, 52-41, with 4:25 left in regulation. The Toros were eventually forced to foul and the Pioneers made eight free throws in the final minute to prevail.
 
CSUDH will host Stanislaus State for Senior Day on Saturday, Feb. 17. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
