Taylor Farris recorded 23 points, 11 rebounds, seven blocks and four steals as Cal State Dominguez Hills downed Stanislaus State by a final score of 73-64 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) women's basketball matchup, Saturday at the Torodome.

The Toros improve to 12-14 overall and 10-10 in conference play. The Warriors drop to 10-16 overall and 7-13 in the CCAA.

The first half was a tale of two quarters. CSUDH started slow and trailed Stanislaus State 15-6 at the end of the first 10 minutes. The Toros came back and outscored the Warriors 15-8 in the second period. CSUDH went into halftime with a 23-21 deficit.

Both teams battled for control in the third quarter as the score was tied on three different occasions. Down 38-35 with five minutes left in the period, Farris went on a 6-0 run by herself.
Heaven Holmes answered a Warrior free throw with a 3-pointer as CSUDH went into the final quarter up 44-39.

The Toros outscored Stanislaus State 11-3 to begin the fourth to grab their biggest lead of the game, 55-42. The Warriors responded with a 13-0 run of their own to even the score, 55-55. CSUDH was able to put another run in together, this time a 12-2 run, ignited by a 3-pointer from
Nautica Morrow to take a 67-57 lead. The Toros were able to knock key free throws to seal the game.

CSUDH has two road games left on its schedule. The Toros will travel to UC San Diego on Thursday, Feb. 22 and Cal State San Marcos on Saturday, Feb. 24. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. for both games.
