CARSON - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team snapped a two-game skid with an 88-82 triumph over Cal State San Marcos in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Monday at the Torodome. The Toros improve to 7-4 overall and 3-2 in conference play. The Cougars drop to 7-4 overall and 4-3 in the CCAA.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- Both teams were evenly matched in the first two quarters. 
Nautica Morrow put away 10 points in the first 10 minutes as the score was even 21-21.
- 
Destinee Williams and Morrow combined for 14 of CSUDH's 20 points in the second quarter. The Toros went into halftime trailing by one, 41-40.
- Trailing by three points in the second half, 49-48, the Toros reeled off a 18-5 run, ignited by a Morrow layup, to grab their biggest lead of the game 64-54. CSUDH led 64-59 going into the final quarter.
- CSUSM was able to cut the margin to two points, 80-78, with 2:27 left, but the Toros eventually prevailed by sinking six-of-eight free throws down the stretch to preserve the win.
