Morrow Scores 23 Points, Toros Erase 16-Point Deficit to Defeat Central Washington in OT

CARSON - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team climbed out of a 16-point hole to defeat Central Washington in overtime by a final score of 86-83 in a non-conference matchup, Monday night at the Torodome. CSUDH improves to 6-2 overall. The Wildcats drop to 6-3.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- Both teams went back-and-forth against each other with the Wildcats emerging with a 19-17 advantage at the end of 10 minutes.
- The Toros sputtered in the second quarter and were outscored 20-13 in the period. CWU took a 39-30 lead into halftime.
- The Wildcats grabbed their biggest lead in the game, 56-40, with 5:18 remaining in the third. CSUDH was able to cut the margin to six points, 62-56, going into the final quarter.
- The Toros nabbed their first lead of the game on two free throws from Paradise Hanchett, 69-68, with 3:50 remaining.
- With a 74-72 lead, Central Washington's Kaelie Flores made the game-tying layup with one second left to force the game into overtime.
- Trailing by one-point, 83-82, with 30 seconds left, Destinee Williams hit the go-ahead 3-pointer to give the Toros the lead for good.
