ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Junior forward
Dijour Ledbetter recorded her second career double-double, but it wasn't enough as the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team fell to Alaska by a final score of 65-61 in a non-conference matchup, Friday at the Alaska Airlines Center on the campus of Alaska Anchorage. The Toros suffer their first loss of the season and drop to 2-1. Alaska stays undefeated and improves to 3-0.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- Neither team had a clear advantage in the first 10 minutes as CSUDH led 13-12 at the end of the first quarter with six of the points coming from junior center
Ahlisha Henderson.
- The Toros stayed on top of Alaska for the entire second period and grabbed their biggest lead of the night, 31-24, on a 3-pointer from sophomore guard
Katelyn Cole with 45 seconds before the intermission. CSUDH led 31-27 at halftime.
- A 6-2 run to start the third quarter by the Nanooks equalized the score at 33-33. Both teams fought for control the rest of the way as the score was tied six more times in the game. CSUDH trailed 46-43 going into the final 10 minutes.
- Alaska claimed a four-point advantage with 4:27 left in the contest, but consecutive baskets from Ledbetter evened the score 57-57. It would be the closest the Toros would get to the win as the Nanooks converted on back-to-back possessions for a four-point lead with 49 seconds remaining. CSUDH was forced to foul and Alaska made the necessary free throws to prevail.
