Kaemerle Draws Penalty, Litendahl Nets Golden Goal in OT to Lift Toros

CARSON - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team defeated Cal State San Bernardino 2-1 in overtime in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Thursday at Toro Stadium. With the game even at 1-1 in overtime, Holly Kaemerle received a through ball up the right side and was fouled inside the box for a penalty kick. Sofia Litendahl's subsequent attempt from 12-yards out was true for the golden goal. The Toros improve to 3-10-3 overall and 2-7-2 in conference play. The Coyotes drop to 5-11 overall and 4-7 in the CCAA.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- The Coyotes struck early in the fifth minute with a goal from Vanessa Gonzlaez to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Toros outshot the CSUSB 8-7 in the first 45 minutes
- CSUDH equalized in the 80th minute. Holly Kaemerle's shot hit the right post, but bounced right back and her second attempt found the netting.
- A little less than four minutes into overtime, Kaemerle drew a penalty kick after getting fouled inside the box. Sofia Litendahl's subsequent attempt was true to give the Toros the win.
