CARSON – Home sweet home.
That is how the Cal State Dominguez Hills volleyball team felt after spending four matches in the last three weeks on the road as the Toros came up with a four-set win (25-18, 25-21, 21-25, 25-18) over Stanislaus State Friday night.
The Toros, winners of three straight, improve to 8-12 overall, 3-9 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

WHAT HAPPENED?
- The Toros hit .204 on the attack while the Warriors hit .170. Dominguez Hills also edged the dig column 57-56.
- CSUDH got off to a promising start in the first set, having built a 13-3 lead behind a six-point run with
Briana Boyd serving. The Toros, who ended up winning the opening bout 25-18, finished hitting .242 while keeping the Warriors cold at .029.
- The Toros had to dig themselves out of an early hole. After trailing by as many as four at the start, Dominguez Hills eventually rallied to take a 9-8 and never looked back the rest of the game.
- The tide had completely turned in the third set, when Stanislaus led from start to finish. The Warriors ended up hitting .457 offensively while keeping the Toros at .146.
- Tied at five in the fourth game, the Toros got on a four-point run with help from back-to-back kills by
Mikayla Rogers and had protected the lead the rest of the way.

MATCH NOTES
- Dominguez Hills improves to 26-20 all-time against Stanislaus. In fact, the Toros are 7-3 since 2012.
- The Toros get their first home conference win of the season.

Tati Yandall gets her second straight double-double and her eighth of the year.

Jordan Ramirez continues to find momentum setting up the attack, producing 30 or more assists for fourth time in five matches. It's her ninth overall on the year.
- Regarding the hunt for a CCAA Championship berth, the Toros are still in it, but they didn't receive any help as Cal State San Marcos, which holds the fourth and final spot to the tournament, picked up a home win over Sonoma State. The Toros will be eliminated from playoff contention should the Cougars reach nine wins.

The brief homestand concludes Saturday night as the Toros welcome Chico State for a 7 p.m. start. The Wildcats are coming to Carson suffering a three-set loss up the 710 freeway at Cal State LA Friday.
