SAN BERNARDINO - Cal State Dominguez Hills fell to Cal State San Bernardino by a final score 74-55 in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) men's basketball action Saturday night at Coussoulis Arena.

The Toros drop to 8-13 overall and 5-9 in conference play. The Coyotes improve to 8-10 overall and 6-8 in the CCAA.

Jonathan Nichols recoded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Matt Hayes also had 11 points for CSUDH.

The game started even as the score was 9-9 with 13 minutes left in the first half. CSUSB grabbed the momentum from there and led by as much as 10 points twice, its biggest lead of the first half. CSUDH went into halftime trailing by nine, 30-21.

The Coyotes didn't let their foot off the pedal in the second half and stretched the gap to 21 points, their largest of the contest, with three minutes remaining. CSUSB eventually prevailed by 19.

CSUDH will host Chico State for their next contest on Friday, Jan. 26. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. or 20 minutes after the women's contest.Â
