LOS ANGELES -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer team fell to Cal State LA 4-1, Thursday night at Jesse Owens Track. Although the Golden Eagles are members of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), this game was considered a non-conference matchup. The Toros outshot CSULA 21-13.

CSUDH falls to 6-3 overall. The Golden Eagles improve to 8-1-1.

The Toros fell 3-0 after the first 45 minutes, even though they held a 14-8 shot advantage. CSUDH had two shots deflect off the crossbar and forced CSULA goalie Steven Barrera to make five saves.

CSUDH quickly cut into the Golden Eagle lead with a goal. In the 49th minute, Senior
Emmanuel Corona's cross was punched out by Barrera, but bounced right to
Manuel Paez as he knocked it into the net. The Golden Eagles answered back in the 61st minute to take back a three-score advantage. Â
