CARSON -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team put up a valiant effort, but couldn't find the equalized in a 1-0 loss to California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) foe Cal State San Marcos, Monday at Toro Stadium.

CSUDH drops to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in conference play. CSUSM improves to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the CCAA.

The Cougars had the only score of the game in the 39th minute with a header from Katie Connor. Freshman goalie
Michelle Tuiaea had five saves for the Toros in the first half.

CSUDH had two shots and two corner kicks in the second half, but could not find the equalizer. In the 86th minute,
Giovanna Recinos put a shot on goal that was saved by CSUSM goalie Baily Cockrill.
