SAN BERNARDINO -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team outshot Cal State San Bernardino 15-10, including 14-6 in the second half, but couldn't come up with the equalizer and fell by a final score of 1-0 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Sunday at Premier Field.
The Toros drop to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. The Coyotes improve to 3-3-1 and 1-1 in the CCAA.
CSUDH came out of the gates slow and could only muster one shot in the first 45 minutes. In the 16th minute, CSUSB's Rachel Figg kicked a perfect cross from the left side that found Sarah Bradley for the only goal of the game.
The Toros had better success in the second half, putting up 14 shots, but could not find the net.
CSUDH will continue conference play with a home matchup against reigning CCAA champion UC San Diego on Friday, Sept. 25. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
