Reveles Tallies Three Hits on Final Day of Tournament of Champions

TURLOCK -- Lyzette Reveles had three hits including a RBI double as the Cal State Dominguez Hills softball team wrapped up the Tournament of Champions with a pair of 7-1 defeats to Saint Martin's and Hawai`i Hilo Sunday.
 
The Toros finished the TOC 1-5.
 
Game 1 – SMU 7, CSUDH 1
Only one hit was recorded for either team through the first two innings of play until the Saint's used four hits in the third to take a 3-0 lead.
 
Jade Loe led off the bottom of the third with her sixth double of the season to left center. While advancing to third base on a wild pitch, a throwing error by the catcher allowed Loe to score and cut the deficit to two runs for the Toros.
 
Kayla Lock stole second in the fifth inning to increase her total to a perfect 5-for-5 on the season.
 
The Saint's added four runs in the sixth and seventh innings, three were courtesy of Sabrina Hicks three-run homerun.
 
Lyzette Reveles had her ninth mulit-hit game of the season and Kayla Lock picked up her second mulit-hit game.
 
Sharie Albert tossed her seventh complete game in the circle while striking out three for the Cardinal and Gold.
 
Game 2 – UHH 7, CSUDH 1
The Vulcans wasted no time getting to work in the first inning, putting five runs on the board.
 
The only run for CSUDH came in the third inning. Alexis Pintado led off with a single, advanced to second on Renee Galindo's sacrifice bunt and scored on Reveles' double to the gap in left center.
 
Albert was asked to throw 6.2 innings. She finished allowing two runs and eight hits but did fan three.
 
The Toros will now finish the season in CCAA play, starting at Cal State San Bernardino Friday at 1 p.m.
