CARSON - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team overcame a 16-point deficit to defeat Cal State San Marcos by a final score of 75-56 for a 33-point swing in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) contest, Sunday at the Toro Dome.

The Toros improve to 7-4 overall and 5-1 in the CCAA. The Cougars drop to 1-6 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Nautica Morrow nearly came away with a triple-double with 23 points, eight rebounds and nine steals. Taylor Farris had a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds to go along with four assists, three blocks and four steals.

CSUDH started the game slow and found itself down 20-6 midway through the first quarter. The Toros closed the period on a 9-2 run to close the gap to seven points, 22-15.

CSUDH used a 17-8 run, capped of a 3-pointer by Farris, to grab their first lead of the game, 32-30. The Toros went into halftime with a five-point advantage, 42-37.

CSUDH kept the onslaught going in the second half, outscoring CSUSM 33-19 in the final 20 minutes to win by 19. The Toros limited the Cougars to just four points in the fourth quarter.

CSUDH will have a day off before hosting UC San Diego on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m.Â
