LOS ANGELES - The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team fell in a non-conference exhibition matchup at Loyola Marymount by a final score of 84-52, Tuesday at Gersten Pavilion.

The Toros remain 4-3 overall as the contest does not count towards their record. The Lions remain undefeated on the year and improve to 7-0 overall.

Junior Zhane Carter was the only CSUDH player in double figures and scored a game-high 19 points, including four treys, to go along with three rebounds. Sophomore Destinee Williams and junior Paradise Hanchett each grabbed a co-team-best six boards.

The Toros scored first on a Taylor Farris 3-pointer, but could not get much after that and trailed LMU 22-10 after the first quarter and 49-26 at halftime.

With a 69-38 deficit entering the fourth quarter, CSUDH showed some resilience in a close final 10 minutes. The Toros scored 14 points and limited the Lions to 15 points in the final period of play.

LMU was led by Bree Alford's 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Jasmine Jones' 13 points.

CSUDH will get back into conference play and will travel to the San Francisco Bay Area for two road games. The Toros will take on Friday, December 1 against Sonoma State and Saturday, December 2 against SF State. Both games are set to tipoff at 5:30 p.m.
