CSUDH was led by Nautica Morrow's team-high 18 points. Taylor Farris had 13 points with eight rebounds and Heaven Holmes pitched in 12 points.

Neither team gained a clear advantage in the first 15 minutes of the game. With the game even at 22-22 with five minutes to go in the second quarter, CSUMB went on an 11-3 run for a 33-25 lead. The Toros were able to trim the margin down to six at halftime, 35-29. Morrow kept CSUDH in the game in the first half, scoring 15 of her 18 points, as no other Toro had more than five points.

CSUDH outscored 21-11 in the third period, led by Farris' seven points, for a 50-46 lead. After the Otters scored two quick buckets to start the fourth quarter to even the score, the Toros responded with a 13-0 run to grab their biggest advantage of the game, 63-50.
