RIVERSIDE - Freshmen Ralph Agee and Colten Kresl scored 24 and 21 points, respectively, as the Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball team narrowly fell to Holy Names in the second day of the PacWest/CCAA Challenge by a final score of 76-69, Saturday at CBU Events Center.

The Toros drop to 0-2 on the season. The Hawks improve to 1-1.

Along with his 24 points, Agee grabbed 10 rebounds to record his first career double-double and had three rejections.

The Toros trailed by six with one minute remaining in the first half, but an Agee layup and a 3-pointer from
Jonathan Nichols with the time winding down closed the margin to one, 34-33, at halftime.

The Hawks grabbed an eight-point advantage, their biggest of the contest, with less than eight minutes left in the game. CSUDH managed to get within two points, 69-67, on a Kresl trey with 1:24 remaining. The Toros were forced to foul down the stretch and HNU made their necessary free throws to put the game away.

CSUDH will host Dominican for its home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.Â
