SEASIDE -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team defeated Cal State Monterey Bay 2-0 in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Sunday at the Otter Sports Complex.
The Toros have now won three straight and improve to 3-7 overall and 2-4 in conference play. The Otters drop to 4-6-3 overall and 2-5-1 in the CCAA.
It didn't take long for CSUDH to take the lead. The Toros were able to draw a foul on CSUMB inside the box in the fourth minute. After a goalkeeper violation was called on the ensuing penalty kick, CSUDH was awarded another shot from 12-yards out. Senior defender

Bella Amezcua on the top right-side of the box. Amezcua then rifled a shot into the top left corner out of the reach of the CSUMB goalie to account for the final score.
CSUDH earned its third straight shutout as freshman goalie

The Toros will host Cal State LA on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m. for Think Pink Night.
