SEASIDE -- The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer team earned a 1-0 overtime win over Cal State Monterey Bay in a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) matchup, Sunday at the Otter Sports Complex.
 
The Toros improve to 8-3-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play. The Otters are 2-10 overall and 1-7 in the CCAA.
 
CSUDH outshot CSUMB 10-8 in regulation, but couldn't find the net. 3:20 into overtime, sophomore midfielder Leonardo Nogueira found junior midfielder Adam Vargas at the top of the box. Vargas hit a laser into the upper right corner past the diving keeper for the golden goal and end the game.
 
Senior goalkeeper Chase Gentry earned his fifth shutout of the season and recorded one save.
 
The Toros will host Cal State LA on Wednesday, October 11 at 7 p.m. for Think Pink night.
