CARSON – The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team suffered a 60-67 loss to Cal Poly Pomona despite leading the majority of the game.
The Toros (4-8, 1-4 CCAA) jumped out in to an early lead and led by as many as 14 points in the first quarter. It all disappeared when a late momentum by the Broncos, including a 17-6 run in the final six minutes, allowed them to run away with the win.
Imari Brown led CSUDH with 16 points, five rebounds and three steals,
Jocelyne Diaz's 12 points and six rebounds.
Simone Thompson and Kayla Gillet both added 11 points.
CPP (7-6, 5-2 CCAA) was led by four starters who combined for 48 points. Chelsea Waddy-Blow scored 17 points, Dominique Dotson added 13 points and Erin Hagan contributed with 10 points.
The Toros continue their homestand Saturday with Humboldt State visiting the Torodome. Opening tip is at 5:30 p.m.
