Destinee Williams and
Dijour Ledbetter came up short from completing double-doubles as the two freshmen combined for 19 points and 18 rebounds in the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball team's 38-62 loss to Sonoma State Thursday night.
Williams grabbed 10 rebounds and scored eight points from the starting role while Ledbetter dropped 11 points and had eight boards.
Simone Thompson had seven points along with four assists.
The Toros were evenly matched in nearly all statistical columns except in field goal percentage, as the Cardinal and Gold's 33.3 percentile was outmatched by Sonoma State's 52.1.
CSUDH's bench picked up 11 points, compared to SSU's nine, and also took advantage of seven second chance points.
Two Seawolves hit double figures in Kylie Kiech's 19 and Carly Gill's 11.
The Cardinal and Gold will host cross town rival Cal State L.A. Saturday with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m.
