SAN LUIS OBISPO — Vincent Golson scored 20 points, Justin Sadler added a dozen as the Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball team dropped a exhibition contest with NCAA Division I Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Thursday.

Golson was also seven rebounds short from completing a double-double and dished out six assists.

Mikey Hatfield contributed to eight points while gathering six rebounds. 

The Toros altogether shot 41 percent while making nine 3-pointers on 27 attempts. 

The Mustangs reached 46 percent from the field. Josh Martin led the team with 16 points.

CSUDH started running away with the leading, having built a 34-18 lead by the 6:18 mark. Cal Poly brought the deficit down to 35-32 at halftime and took the lead. After leading for 29 minutes, the Toros lost the lead with 8:47 remaining in the game. 

The Toros go back on the record Saturday to face Stanislaus State in non-CCAA play. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
