Dias, Velasquez Power No. 23 Toros to Upset Victory Over No. 14 Seawolves

CARSON -- Mike Dias and Pedro Velasquez both found the back of the net on two separate occasions as the two forwards steered the No. 23 Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer team to a 4-1 upset victory over No. 14 Sonoma State at Toro Stadium Sunday afternoon.
 
It is the Toros' (6-1-0, 2-0-0 California Collegiate Athletic Association) sixth straight win while the Seawolves fall to 3-2-1 overall, 0-2-0 in CCAA opening weekend.
 
Dias got the first goal in the ninth minute and, along with Velasquez, added three more goals throughout the second half.
 
Goalkeeper Chase Gentry made six saves on the afternoon and allowed the lone goal in the 81st minute.
 
The Toros continue CCAA play next weekend. They visit Cal Poly Pomona Friday before visiting Cal State San Bernardino Sunday.
