Gators Spoil Senior Night in 68-63 Win

CARSON -- Senior Darnell Martin led Cal State Dominguez Hills with 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field in his final game as a Toro, but visiting San Francisco State capitalized on 20 Toro turnovers in taking a 68-63 decision to close the 2014-15 season for both squads.

The Toros finish the season at 7-21, 3-19 CCAA.

The Gators rolled to a 39-32 lead at the break behind a combined 20 points from Bren Haley and Jon McMurry, with Martin keeping the Toros in the game with his 11 first-half points.

SFSU, however, again extended its lead to double-figures midway through the second half, until the Toros got to within six at 56-50 on an Ivan Dooley throwdown after a SFSU turnover.

A Brandon Woods layup with 1:12 left gave CSUDH a chance at the end, but two turnovers proved costly as SFSU hit its free throws down the stretch to take the win.

Dooley and Woods both finished with 10 points each as SFSU scored 28 points off CSUDH's miscues.

Prior to the contest, the Toros honored four seniors in Martin, Chris Collins, Jason Payne and Tyler Payne, as well as their senior team manager in a pregame ceremony.
