INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Sitting tied atop the California Collegiate Athletic Association, the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros checked in at No. 3 in the first NCAA region poll of the year, with the top eight teams earning berths into the NCAA postseason tournament.
CCAA co-leader Humboldt State checked in at No. 2, followed by Cal Poly Pomona at No. 7 and Cal State San Bernardino at No. 8.
The top eight teams in the West Region will advance to NCAA postseason play, with the top seed getting the opportunity to host the first three rounds.
With an overall record of 21-1, Alaska Anchorage tops the list, followed by Cal Baptist at No. 4, Seattle Pacific at No. 5 and Hawai'i Pacific at No. 6, with Point Loma and Western Washington looking to crack the top 8.
The final two weekends of the regular season will have an impact on the upcoming polls as the Toros face the Broncos this Saturday, with the Broncos and Jacks meeting in the regular season finale.
The entire field of NCAA participants will be announced on March 8.
