Seniors Go Out In Style After 12-0 Rout Over Bethesda

CARSON -- After honoring four 4-year seniors in an emotional "Senior Day" ceremony, Cal State Dominguez Hills sent Lindsey Armstrong, Sami Feinstein, Megan Guzman and Gabrielle Pena out in style with a convincing 12-0 win over visting Bethesda University to end the 2015 regular season homestand on StubHub Center Field 3.

Three of the four Toro seniors scored today, with Feinstein sitting out due to a probable redshirt year. Pena scored twice while Armstrong and Guzman tallied one goal as CSUDH tied the program record of goals scored by the 1992 and 1996 teams, which posted 12 goals on Cal Baptist and Grand Canyon, respectively.

Daisy Vite record a career-high four goals and added an assist to lead the Toros.
 
Louise Kallin had a two-goal afternoon while Jessica Garcia and Vendela Schonberg contributed with one each.
 
The Toros tallied seven of their goals in the first half. Schonberg put the Toros up front, 1-0, four minutes into the match while Guzman and Pena added two more goals in the 14th and 20th minutes, respectively.
 
The Toros close the 2015 campaign on the road, traveling to California Collegiate Athletic Association foes Cal State East Bay Thursday followed by Stanislaus State for the finale Saturday. Both matches are 4:30 p.m. kickoffs.
