WALNUT CREEK – Cal State Dominguez Hills Stephanie Jimenez has been named the Worth/California Collegiate Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week for the weekend of Feb. 1-3.

This is Jimenez's first CCAA Pitcher of the Week honor.

Jimenez made appearances in four-of-five games the Toros competed in this past weekend at Cal State Stanislaus' annual Mizuno Best of the West Invitational.

The senior from Norwalk was named to the Best of the West All-Tournament team after guiding CSUDH to a 4-1 weekend. She offered just two earned runs on seven hits in 17.0 innings pitched, while striking out a total of 33 batters and walking only five.

The senior from Norwalk captured her first complete game shut-out after allowing just two hits in seven innings,  while striking out a season-high of 12 Cal State Monterey Bay hitters on Friday night.

The 11th-ranked Toros will continue tournament play this weekend at the Montana State Billings Desert Stinger, held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
