WALNUT CREEK – Cal State Dominguez Hills' Pierson Williams has been named the Wilson/California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 11-17.

Pierson contributed greatly to the Toros 2-0 weekend, with victories over Sonoma State and San Francisco State.

The Sylmar native led CSUDH in Saturday's huge win over the Gators, scoring a game-high of 28 points.  He made 9-of-12 from the floor, which included sinking eight-of-nine from three point range.  

On the weekend, he averaged 17.5 point, after shooting 73.3 percent (11-for-15) from the floor, 81.1 percent (9-for-11) from the arch, and a perfect four-for-four from the free throw line.

The junior guard added nine rebounds, four steals, and two assists to his weekend performance.
