Athletics Adds Shelby Stueve as Academic Advisor / Compliance Assistant

CARSON -- Cal State Dominguez Hills has named Shelby Stueve its Athletics Academic Advisor / Compliance Assistant, it was announced by CSUDH Director of Athletics Patrick Guillen.

"Shelby is a great addition to the Toro Athletics Department, who brings
solid experience and a fresh approach to our team which has aided in the efficiency and effectiveness of our Academic Advising," begins Guillen. 

"She
filled the position on an emergency basis over the previous six months and did an outstanding job.  Shelby is a tireless worker and goes above and beyond for our students, and we are fortunate to have her here at CSUDH."

Stueve begins her first full year in the athletics department after joining the Toros staff last year on an interim basis, following a one-year stint as the Compliance Coordinator at Cal Poly Pomona.

As the Academic Advisor, Stueve is responsible for the academic advising for current student-athletes.  Additionally, she will assist with regulation of NCAA/CCAA rules and policies.

Stueve brings four years of experience to the Toros Athletics department, having served as an Administrative Assistant and softball assistant coach at Cal State East Bay since 2008 before moving to CPP two years later.

A Fontana native, Stueve earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in Kinesiology from Cal State East Bay, where she competed for the Pioneer softball program.
