Toros Move to No. 10 in This Week's USTFCCCA Regional Poll

CARSON -- After a stellar week at the CCAA track and field championships this past weekend that included 13 All-CCAA honors, the Toro women's track team moved back into the national spotlight at No. 10 in this week's USTFCCCA Division II regional rankings.

The west region rankings include Grand Canyon at the top followed by Alaska Anchorage, Cal State L.A., Chico State, and San Francisco State.  Seattle Pacific holds the number six spot and Western Washington seven.

Three CCAA schools hold the bottom three spots, with Cal State Stanislaus ranked eighth and Cal Poly Pomona just 6.76 ahead of the Toros.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) is a non-profit professional organization representing cross country and track & field coaches of all levels. The organization represents over 8,000 coaching members encompassing 94% of all NCAA track & field programs (DI, DII, and DIII) and includes members representing the NAIA as well as a number of state high school coaches associations.

The USTFCCCA serves as an advocate for cross country and track & field coaches, providing a leadership structure to assist the needs of a diverse membership, serving as a lobbyist for coaches' interests, and working as a liaison between the various stakeholders in the sports of cross country and track & field
.

CSUDH will be back in action this weekend as the Toros travel to Cal State Stanislaus on Friday in a just added meet, before heading back to Cal State L.A. the next day as they look to improve upon their provisional times before nationals in two weeks.
