Track and Field Qualifies in Three Events for NCAA Outdoor Championships

Toros also pick up 10 USTFCCCA All-Region honors

PUEBLO, Colo. -- Cal State Dominguez Hills sprinters Breionna Jackson, Charlene Brown, Dora Baldwin, and Monikkia White are all headed to the NCAA Track and Field Outdoor Championships, hosted by Colorado State-Pueblo next week.

The reigning 4x400 relay champions will have the chance to repeat after entering nationals as the 12th-overall seed, and their 3:45.56 qualifying time. Joining in the 4x400 competition will include CCAA rivals San Francisco State, UC San Diego, and Cal State Stanislaus.

Qualifying in the 100 meter dash is Jackson with a seed time of 11.89, putting her 23rd in the nation. She hit her provisional and season best of 11.89 just two weeks ago at the CCAA Track and Field Championships.

Two of the Toros ranked high enough to qualify for the championships in the 400 meter dash, with Dora Baldwin and Charlene Brown placing 14th and 15th, respectively. Along with teammate Jackson, both 400 runners qualified after running season bests at the conference championships.

Additionally, the quartet combined for a total of 10 All-Region nods, announced earlier by the USTFCCCA. Jackson and White each earned three All-Region honors in the 100, 200 and 4x100 relay, with Baldwin and Brown earning a pair of nods in the 400 and 4x100 relay.
