CARSON -- Junior Christina Chavez (pictured) hit .800 with a 1.400 slugging percentage while fellow junior Stephanie Jimenez picked up both wins in the circle as the Toros took 7-6 and 5-2 decisions over visiting CS East Bay to complete the season sweep of the Pioneers.

With the wins, CSUDH now has won 13 in a row in moving to 13-2, 8-0 CCAA, while the Pioneers fall to 7-7, 3-5 CCAA.

The visitors looked to take their first win of the series after putting up four runs in their first at-bat, the big blow coming on a Devin Salmones 3-run blast, but the ever resilient Toros whittled away at their deficit before tying the game at 6-6 with two in the sixth.

In the bottom of the seventh, a fielder's choice attempt at third base went awry for CSUEB's second error of the game, allowing Khryssi Steele to scamper home with the game-winner.

Jimenez picked up the win in relief while Chavez enjoyed a 3-for-3 effort.

In the nightcap, Jimenez was at it again, allowing just one hit through three.

This time, the Toro offense produced early, plating two runs in the first and third for a 4-0 lead, adding one more in the bottom of the fourth for a 5-1 lead.

Jimenez finished with 5 strikeouts while her offense was aided by four CSUEB errors, giving Andi Andersen the hard-luck loss.

The Toros will host 2010 NCAA Champion Hawai'i Pacific for a Wednesday twinbill on Toro Diamond, with first pitch set for a 12 noon start.  The games can be heard live on the Toro Sports Network at www.GoToros.com/live.
