Wayne Andrews Named Wilson/CCAA Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK – Cal State Dominguez Hills forward Wayne Andrews was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association's (CCAA) men's basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 12-18, it was just announced by the CCAA office.

This is Andrews' first CCAA POW honor of his career.

Andrews, a senior from Compton, posted a double-double in helping the Toros to a 77-73 CCAA road victory at Cal State East Bay on Sunday. He totaled 18 points and collected 10 rebounds in 30 minutes. Andrews connected on 6-of-11 field goal attempts (54.5 percent) and was 5-for-5 from the foul line.

Cal State Dominguez Hills, which improved to 3-3, 2-2 CCAA with last night's win, plays its final game before Christmas when it travels to Seaside to face Cal State Monterey Bay tonight at 7:30 pm.
