Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Feinstein Delivers Game-Winner in Offensive 4-3 Win

CARSON -- Freshman #Sami Feinstein# broke a 3-all tie in the 79th minute after collecting a loose ball in front of visiting Cal Poly Pomona's net, and punched in the game-winner that ended a 3-game losing and scoreless streak for the Toros in the first contest of "Homecoming" weekend.

After spotting the visitors a 1-0 lead just 13:03 into the contest, #Niki Poole equalized just 34 seconds later after a collecting a pass from Ani Eishoei# and drilling her blast past CPP keeper Sarah Rohman.

That momentum gained more steam just three minutes later after #Yadira Gomez back-footed her shot past Rohman in the 17th minute after taking a bicycle kick assist from Jessica Murphy#.

CPP battled back, however, as Valerie Strawn wheeled at the top of the Toro box and lofted an 18-foot shot over keeper #Tiffany Hollis#' head to knot the game at two, with Aneska Alino giving the Broncos a 3-2 lead in the 39th minute as she took a deflected pass off a Toro defender and buried her shot near post.

Entering the half down a goal, Murphy began the comeback with a one-touch goal from Poole in the 67th minute, before Feinstein notched the game-winner after collecting a scramble in front of the Bronco net.

The Toros dominated statistically with a 19-7 shot advantage, but the Broncos took the corner game by a 4-2 count.

In conjunction with this contest, the Toros dedicated this game to "Think Pink" month by donning pink warm-ups and each writing a dedication in honor of the movement, and attaching it to the fence in front of the bleachers.

CSUDH, now 7-7-1, 5-7-1 CCAA, looks to keep its momentum going on Sunday as San Francisco State visits Carson on "Senior Day," with first kick set for 11:30 am in Toro Stadium.  The game will be streamed live on the Toro Sports network at www.GoToros.com/live.
