Edlin and Smoyak Join CSUDH Athletics Staff

CARSON -- Cal State Dominguez Hills Athletics has added two to its staff in Office Manager #Tiffany Edlin# and Certified Trainer #Jennifer Smoyak#, it was announced by CSUDH Director of Athletics Patrick Guillen.

Smoyak, who begins her second full year as a certified trainer on the CSUDH Training staff after relocating from her home state of Florida, attained her BS in Health Science-Athletic Training from the University of Central Florida and her MS in Sports Management from Florida International University where she spent three years as the trainer for the women's basketball program, also teaching Therapeutic Exercise.

In addition to her athletic training duties, the Long Beach resident will teach Upper and Lower Extremity Orthopedic Assessment at CSUDH when not spending time at the beach, at concerts and cooking.

Edlin (formerly Bull) also begins her second year on the CSUDH Athletics staff after enjoying a solid two-year career from 2006-07 as a setter on the Toros volleyball team.

As the Athletics Business/Office Manager, Edlin is responsible for administering budgets for all sports programs, keeping track of all purchasing and fundraising dollars, and maintaining all office needs, also assisting in the marketing and promotions efforts of CSUDH athletics to on- and off-campus constituents while monitoring in-game promotions and facilitating athletics special events.

As a stellar student-athlete, she holds the CSUDH record for service percentage and sits 4th for set assists in a single season, and 7th for sets in a career, and earned CSUDH's Dr. Richard Butwell Award in 2008 at the Toros Athletics annual year-end banquet, its most prestigious award.


Edlin earned her BA in Communications / Public Relations from CS Dominguez Hills in Fall 2008, and lives with her husband Mark and two dogs, Chomper and Daisy.
