Biehl Debut a Successful One at CSU Fullerton Season Opener

FULLERTON, Calif. -- Freshman Erica Biehl paced the Toros cross country runners to open the 2009 cross country season at the 6K CSU Fullerton season opener, run at the Fullerton Golf Course, crossing the finish line in a time of 27:04.10 in her debut appearance in Cardinal and Gold, good for a 156th-place finish amongst a contingent of Division I, Division II, NAIA and unattached runners.

Sophomore Dora Baldwin was the only other Toro to finish the race under 30 minutes, chiming in at 28:38.60 (199th), while Ines Mendoza (30:37.60), Nidia Padilla (31:48.00), Janette Morfin (32:27.30) and Destiny Tyler (35:30.60) rounded out the CSUDH runners.

The Toros next compete at the UC Irvine Asics Invitational next Saturday, the first 5K meet of the season.
