Carson, CA - Senior Valarie Tucker (Downey, CA/El Camino College) led the charge with a time of 20:55 (6th), and all members of the CSUDH women's cross country team lowered their respective times from the previous meet, as the Toros battled the Roadrunners in a two school challenge at the 5k Cal State Bakersfield Invite.
Teammates Brittany Masai (Torrance, CA/West High School) and Kelly Corral (Long Beach, CA/Cerritos JC) would be right on the heels of Tucker, finishing with identical times of 20:56, grabbing them a 7th and 8th place finish, giving the Toros three runners in the top-10.
As a team, it would be difficult for CSUDH to match up with CSUB, as the Roadrunners filled up most of the running trail with their 35 runners to the Toros eight.
