Anibal Kim Yang placed second at least week's UC San Diego-hosted SoCal Intercollegiate, just one stroke away from the lowest score of the tournament, leading the Toros to a 6th place finish, just two strokes away from 5th place.
After tying for the best score in round one en route to finishing the first day tied for first place, Kim Yang fired a 1-over 73 on day two for a stellar total of 219 (70-76-73), his second lowest total of the season.
Earning nine birdies and 35 pars, Kim Yang finished behind Cal State East Bay's Adam Stone and Hawai'i Hilo's Dalen Yamauchi whie shooting a -3 on the Par 5 holes, with his score one stroke ahead of Cal State Monterey Bay's Ray Richards, with whom Kim Yang was tied after day one.
