Steele was the offensive lynchpin as CSUDH took 3-of-4 from CSUEB this weekend, going 6-for-14, with half her hits coming as doubles.

On Friday, she began the 2nd-inning rally with a double to start an offensive surge that put the game away, before swiping her lone base of the series after being hit by a pitch in her final at-bat.  She then connected for two hits in the nightcap and scored the team’s lone run after starting the rally with a two-out double.

            One day later in the sweep, she opened the game by reaching base and scored the game-winner in the shutout win before tallying a hit in her next at-bat, before notching a pair of hits in the nightcap and driving in the eventual game-winner.

            Overall, the junior utility player led the Toros in at-bats, runs scored, hits, doubles and total bases as CSUDH maintained its hold on 4th place in the conference with just two series remaining in the regular season.  Steele was the only player to get a hit and score a run in each contest, belting an extra base hit in all but one game.
