Neka Mixon, a 5-10 guard from Long Beach, Calif. guided the Toros to a 86-71 win over Cal State East Bay and a close 69-64 loss against No. 14 UC San Diego in her first two games back as a Toro.
Mixon averaged 16.5 points and 11.5 rebounds to tally two back-to-back double-doubles. In the win, Mixon landed 20 points and 12 boards, scoring seven of the Toros' final 10 points. In the loss, Mixon tallied 13 points and 11 boards while adding four assists to her total of seven on the weekend.
Mixon's 10 free throws, 23 rebounds and seven assists were all highs for CSUDH on the weekend.
