A 6-3 senior from Newbury Park, Alia dominated from behind the plate and at first base this past weekend to guide the Toros to a 3-1 record over Sonoma State, the best record the Toros have held against the Seawolves in the history of the two teams.
 
In the four-game series he batted a .500 in his 14 at bats, capitalizing on seven hits and nine total bases to bring home five CSUDH runners and score two of his own. His two doubles on the weekend guided the Toros a victory in each game forcing the Seawolves to intentionally walk him in game three.
 
In game two of the series a single down the left field line in the bottom of the tenth would bring home a runner and break a tied ballgame to instantly give CSUDH a sweep on the day. Similarly, in game four  of the series a double on a 1-2 count would bring home a runner and break a 1-1 tied ballgame giving CSUDH all the runs it would need to record its third win in the CCAA and improve their record to 7-5 overall.
 
In the field he committed no errors at first base while making 31 outs and six assists. He also grabbed a stolen bag in his one attempt.
