Cal State Dominguez Hills Athletics

Kaelah Basurto joins the Cal State Dominguez Hills Women's Soccer coaching staff, bringing a wealth of experience and leadership to the program. A former captain of both the Fullerton College and Cal State LA Women's Soccer teams, Basurto has a proven track record of success on the field. During her collegiate career, she led her teams to multiple playoff appearances, and in 2022, she was instrumental in Cal State LA's top-three conference finish and CCAA tournament victory, securing a spot in the NCAA tournament.

In addition to her playing accomplishments, Basurto has extensive coaching experience. She served as an assistant coach for Whittier Christian High School's girls soccer team since 2018. She also coached at Slammers Soccer Club, working with K-4th graders and high school students.

Basurto holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University, Los Angeles, and Master of Arts in English at the same institution.
