Shahram (Shawn) Alvari joined the CSUDH women's socer program in August 2015.
Alvari elevates to the collegiate ranks after two seasons at the helm of the Valley Christian High School boys' soccer program. He guided the junior varsity team to an undefeated season and one year later he took the varsity squad to a league title and a State championship appearance.Â
Prior to coaching Valley Christian, Alvari played two seasons for the USL's LA Blues.
Alvari spent his collegiate career with the NAIA's Hope International University, where the midfielder helped produce two 10-plus winning seasons. He would graduate from Hope International with a degree in business/sport management in 2015.
Born in Tehran, Iran, Alvari immigrated to the United States as a child and holds dual citizenship.
