Coach Ewing begins her first season in Carson as the assistant coach for the cross country program.
Ewing comes to CSUDH after a three-year stint at USC where she completed her fifth year of NCAA eligibility and served as a volunteer coach for both the track and cross country programs in helping the Trojans improve significantly in Pac 10 championship team and individual scoring.
Utilizing a fifth year of athletic eligibility at USC while beginning graduate school, Ewing captained her team and improved her 6,000 meter cross country PR, helping lead the Trojans to the 2008 NCAA West Regional.
Prior to USC, Ewing competed collegiately for four years at Columbia University where she participated in her 3,000 meter steeplechase specialty, also captaining her squad as a senior before being granted a medical redshirt.
At Columbia, she helped lead the Lions to 4 Ivy League Championships and competed in 2 NCAA National Cross Country Championships and 3 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Regionals.
Ewing earned her BA in Latin American Studies at Columbia before earning her Masters of Public Health at USC in 2009.
