Smith begins her second season with the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's basketball program after a stellar career at Chico State, with one year playing under current Toro head coach Molly Goodenbour.
A three-time All-CCAA selection, Smith arguably is one of the greatest players to don a Chico State uniform, regardless of sport.
She is a fixture in the Chico State record books, ranking sixth all-time in career scoring (1,371 points), third in career assists (387), fourth in free throws (318), fifth in steals (190), and ninth in 3-pointers(135), while appearing in more games (130) than any women’s basketball player in Wildcat history.
The ultimate competitor, Smith brought out the best in her teammates as Chico State compiled a 90-40 record (.692 winning percentage) when she was on the floor, and as an assistant coach for Chico State last year, she helped bring out the best in the Wildcats as they claimed the CCAA crown.
